2b visits "RoHol - The Austrian Wood Composer"

We visited the Rohol company as part of an excursion to gain insight into veneer production.

We observed how different types of veneers are made and processed.

The clamping process was also demonstrated and explained to us.

The steam baths, where entire trees spend several days or even weeks, were explained to us in detail.

The steaming process increases the elasticity of the wood and also serves to discolor the veneer.

We would like to thank our technical technology teacher, Ms. Windischbauer, for organizing this great trip.

Afterwards, we visited Spital am Pyhrn and the Gleinkersee, where we stretched our legs with a walk around the lake.

The trip was both highly informative for our lessons and an opportunity to grow together as a class.
